Tips From Paul: #1 Is Your Toilet Leaking or Sweating?

Do you have a leaky toilet or just a sweaty toilet?  Most likely if this occurs during weather over 60 degrees this is caused by condensation.  The water entering your toilet tank is around 50 degrees while the temperature outside the tank is much higher causing condensation to form.  There are several solutions to solve this problem; adding an air conditioner or dehumidifier inside the bathroom, replacing your existing tank with an insulated or heated tank, or installing a mixing valve which increases the water temperature going into the tank.  Do not ignore this condensing water because if it is left it could cause mold to grow, paint to discolor, and if left long enough could cause rot to trim or framing.
